Thanks for the response. I actually used both and neither worked. I finally figured it out (kinda). I disabled the windows defender firewall on the server and it works fine. I need to go back later and figure out the setting to make it work without disabling the entire firewall.

Are you using a hostname or IP address? It’s always best to IP address to access the resources on another computer.

I setup accordingly and both my windows 10 laptops can connect through the internet. However, neither can use the internet nor see any remote resources (server resources).

I have checked and unchecked the “Use default gateway on remote network.” several times. No change.

I have checked the firewalls on both sides and they are all fine. I tried typing the NetBios name and the IP address of the server and that does not connect.

I noticed that when I run ipconfig, the local gateway is missing on the VPN connection no matter what I do.
