It did restore access to several apps but I can’t actually open the store. I need to REINSTALL the store itself. I’m not going to reinstall Windows to get the freaking store working right. Fix your stuff Microsoft.

10586.218 – 10586.122 = 96 different commitments, this means that a lot can happen. Also, remember that Microsoft ships Windows 10 as a service, which means that it’s continually evolving. What’s the new today, tomorrow might be different. The guide not working for you doesn’t mean that at build 10586.122 wasn’t working either. I have posted screenshots and details supporting that what I said at the time was true.

If the Store isn’t working for you, perhaps uninstalling the cumulative update and going back to a previous build (which I’ve done in the past) may give you a chance to fix the error. And then you once again install the latest update.

Thanks,

Here is a dialogue from the PowerShell. I cannot even get the Store to open. I would like to resolve without rebuilding the computer because of some of the software I have to install is not easily accessible now. I get a “failure” when trying to remove. And I get a “failure when trying to install. I am up to date with build 10586.164.
